Inspection procedures for the Sanden AC compressor units, how to determine where
unusual noise from the AC system may be coming from. Unusual noise due to
compressor and unusual noise not due to compressor. There is a specific air gap
that is between the clutch and the pulley on every compressor and this gap can
be measured to be sure of proper operation.
If there is unusual noise coming from the compressor check the oil level and the
clutch operation, if the noise is coming from somewhere else in the engine bay
listen closely to determine where.
