The Air Conditioning system has many moving parts, such as the Compressor, Accumulator - Drier, Condenser, Evaporator and the Expansion device. The A/C Compressor is considered the heart of the Air Conditioning system. It is the only part in the Air Conditioner that directly involves the cooling of the vehicle’s atmosphere. The main job of the A/C Compressor is to convert low pressure gas into high pressure gas with the help of the compression process.
The A/C Compressor is a mechanical pump which is driven by a belt attached to the engine of your Acura. The A/C Compressor pumps the refrigerant to absorb all the heat which accumulates in your car's passenger cabin. It pumps the Freon gas into the Condenser. The Freon gas is then changed into liquid by the Condenser. The Evaporator receives the liquid and then cools the air. The Air Conditioning system should be in perfect condition for you to have a comfortable driving experience while in your Acura.
